The Popefish is Coming! The Popefish is Coming! A NEW GOAL!

His Holyfish is on his way.  It's going to be a busy week of preparations.  In this video, The Codinal talks to Fish Fry customers (their enthusiasm is overwhelming!) about how they will prepare for the Popefish's visit and gets some interesting responses.

TUNE IN TOMORROW FOR AN UPDATE ON THE POPEFISH's PROGRESS FROM ROME!

While the Popefish packs his bags, you can unload your extra baggage at the Penance Service at Christ the Servant Parish Tuesday Night!  7PM at Our Lady of Peace Church.  Nine priests will be there... so you won't miss your bedtime! (Why is Penance Important? Click Here)

Lots of hard work goes into making all that fish and side dishes.  Here's the Codinal with a behind the scenes with the Pierogi Ladies:

I. Am. A. National. Sensation.

A NATIONALLY recognized reporter wrote an article about the "Tails of the Fishop" Blog today in the publication, "Catholic School Chronicles."*

*Insert cocky swagger here

titled *drumroll please*

Tails of the Fishop: A Clever Fish Fry Promotion

(They called me clever!)

Also Amazing!  More than 2,000 Hits on a Fish Fry Blog!

In my musings today, I wondered if this was how Shari Lewis got her start... except that fish in varying heights of mitres are, in my opinion, far more interesting than "Lambchop."

Yes... I'm getting more and more popular... so I decided to take a trip this week... to the visit the BRIGHT LIGHTS of Las Vegas!

They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas... but on April 12, Nine area priests will be available at Christ the Servant Parish to hear confessions at 7:00 pm for the Lenten Penance Service.

See you at the Fish Fry Friday Night!  4:30 to 7pm!  Stations of the Cross at 7pm!

Somebody Call the Doctor! I've got Fish Fry Fever!

You voted!  Reception or the Oil and Clive Clam has been redeemed!  Our new villian is Arty Angler for Menacing.  Be sure to vote!

He would certainly wind up in the Principal's office... just like I did!  I got to spend a day with Our Lady of Peace School Principal Dr. Lois Cavucci today!  It's not that I was invited to do this... I just wanted her to know even though she is the doctor... I'm the one doing the checking up.  So I popped in on her several times to see how her day was going.  The Codinal even tries to get some backstory on her from the school secretary.

Here's The Codinal challenging Dr. Cavucci to some Fish Fry Trivia!

Fish Fry Friday Night!  Be there... or get sent straight to the Principal's Office!

I sent Sister Catherine Margaret Crab to speak with Miss Schmader in this first installment of "Catholic Education and You!" Former OLOP Teacher Lucia Cirese also makes an appearance in this interview:

Hot Cross Buns! or Got Caught Cheatin'!

You know, when I am not eating fish, I really do enjoy the taste of Norcia's Bread.  The Codinal and I visited Norcia's bakery today in Downtown Canton because, since Norcia's Bread is served at the Christ the Servant Fish Frys... it seemed an appropriate place to do a Codcast.

Lent is a time of sacrifice, a time of giving and a time of reflection.  Unfortunately, it's not a good thing if your image is reflected in Pablo Paparazzi's camera lens... Check out this clip of Lenten Cheaters Unmasked:

I. Am. So. Famous.

I'm sure you have probably already heard... but today I had an article in THE CANTON REPOSITORY!  Front Page... Food Section (bottom left corner).  Big mention of me and the Codinal... check it out!

Remember... the Codinal and I will be offering photo opportunities at the next Fish Fry!  If you put a donation in the fishbowl... I will even sign your photo (seeing as I. Am. So. Famous.).  If you don't want to keep it (not likely) then maybe you can sell it on eBay or something.

As it is with the famous people, we hang out with other famous people, and we help promote each other's causes.  So here's a video by my new friend, Slick Swordfish, Stuntmaster of the Sea.

Quest for Freshness... A Three-Part Series

As spokes"fish" for the Christ the Servant Fish Fry... I believe it is my duty to make sure that the chefs have the freshest fish available to them.  Scratch that... it is not so much a duty as a QUEST.  I brought the Codinal along... more for comic relief than anything else.  Check out part one of our journey below:

Freshness is very important... because at Christ the Servant, we know people are picky about their fish. We also know that kids can be picky too... so we have lots of things they can eat.  Here's the Codinal with the Our Lady of Peace School (at Christ the Servant Parish) Kindergarten teacher and Lunchlady with more about Picky Kids:

Seamour also chimes in on the topic of Picky Kids... with this song:

See you at the Fish Fry!  Friday night... 4:30 to 7:00pm.  Stations of the Cross to follow in the church.

Breaking News

Big news tonight from the Christ the Servant Fish Fry... here's Walter Whale with the scoop!

See you at the Fish Fry!  Friday night 4:30-7pm.  It is my solemn quest to bring you the freshest fish possible... but more on that later.  Stay tuned!

There's Snow Place Like the Christ the Servant Fish Fry

You have Chosen... Hank Hammerhead has been REDEEMED!  Be sure to vote on this week's Fishy Character... Bev Barracuda (she passes bad checks!) Redemption or the Oil?  You Decide!

If we’ve learned anything from the Bible, it’s that God loves to present a challenge.  That’s the way I look at this predicted snowstorm, and that's what happens in this latest video, when a brotherhood of Monkfish find themselves flash frozen and in need of a true miracle to get to the Christ the Servant Fish Fry.

The Monkfish aren't the only one's fighting the weather to get to the Fish Fry.  Here at the Christ the Servant Fish Fry, you will be waited on by a fresh-faced youngster from our school.  But that doesn’t
mean you can stiff them.  Here’s the Codinal with today’s CodCast… that will hopefully shed some light on why it's important to tip your waiter!

You hear the words “Fish Fry” and some immediately think… Fish sticks and tater tots.  NOT TRUE!  There’s something for everyone at Christ the Servant.  The menu is on the sidebar… (not to be confused with the sundae bar!)… but I think Seamour says it best in song.

Look for a special video message from me, the Fishop, tomorrow!  See you at the Fish Fry!
